Church Planting

The foundational aim of Touch Baja is to plant replicating churches founded upon and teaching the truth of God’s Word, and helping to fulfill the vision of Touch Baja through discipleship, evangelism, and outreach. We will continue to work at planting churches, believing the church is the primary vehicle God will use to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ throughout the Baja. Each church will be led by pastors and leadership focused on “equipping of the saints for the work of ministry.”

Current Churches

Capilla Calvario Xochimilco

Xochimilco was our first church plant. It has about 120 adults and a vision to reach out to others and start churches. All of the other church plants expect for one have been begun by the members of this church. It is pastored by Ron and Donna Brink.

Capilla Calvario Leandro Valle

This is a church plant out of Capilla Calvario Santa Fe and sits downhill from the Xochimilco church at the lower end of the city dump (Xochimilco at the upper end of the dump). Most people know this area Trencheaso, in English “The Devil’s Pitchfork,” and it is difficult to describe the level of sin this area is known for. The pastor of Calvary Chapel Santa Fe is in charge of this ministry.

Capilla Calvario Granjas Amparo Sanchez

Capilla Calvario Granjas, pastored by Juan and his wife Jesica, was the first church plant out of  the Xochimilco church.  It is located in a steep valley that was once a huge pig farm in an area is called an invasion, which are areas where large numbers of people, typically who have little financial resources, move onto a property without purchasing the  property. Drug addiction and drug-related violence are serious problems in the area affecting a large number of the adults and most of the youth.

Capilla Calvario Santa Fe

Capilla Calvario Santa Fe, our second church plant out of CC Xochimilco, is located in a large community of Tijuana near Rosarito Beach. They are a church known for getting everyone involved in their outreach programs with ministries such as a impactful hospital chaplaincy program, outreach to the elderly, and ministering in a couple of orphanages.  They also have a heart for cross-cultural missions. The church is pastored by Pastor Jorge and his wife Ericka.

Capilla Calvario Villa Del Prado

This is a new church plant. It is a large community very similar to Santa Fe. They are renting a home where they have a large Bible study for adults, youth group and children’s ministry.

Capilla Calvario Pueblos Mágicos

Capilla Calvario Pueblos Mágicos, the newest of our church plants, is a church plant out of the Santa Fe church. Pueblos Mágicos is part of Valle de las Palmas, a large valley that stretches into Tecate. It is pastored by Williams and his wife, Selma, arriving here in Tijuana from St. George, Utah, where he has a part of Calvary Chapel St. George.
